Products and Services
The catalogue of everything you sell besides the consultation itself — a knee brace, a supplement, a session package. Once a product exists you can put it on a physiotherapy session, and it shows up in the sales report with its own profit figure.
Find it under Products & Services.
Where to Find It
Click an address to open that screen on your own clinic. The first click asks which clinic you are, then remembers it. Addresses holding a {id} or {token} need a specific record, so they are shown but not linked.

Adding a Product
Products & Services → Add New Product.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Product Name * | |
| Product Type * | Product for a physical item, Service for something you perform. The sales report totals them separately |
| Product Code | Must be unique. A suggestion like PRD-… is filled in for you |
| SKU | Your own stock reference. Not checked for uniqueness |
| Barcode | Must be unique. Generate Barcode fills in a fresh one |
| Description | |
| Sell Price | What the patient pays. Optional: leave it empty while it is not decided — the service is then shown as No price, and a visit it is added to starts with an empty price for you to type. 0 is different: it means free |
| Cost Price | What it costs you. Left blank it counts as zero — and the profit column will then show the full price as profit |
| Product Photo | JPG, PNG or GIF, up to 2 MB |
TIP
Fill in Cost Price. It is the only thing that makes the profit column in the sales report mean anything.
TIP
With Inventory switched on, the form grows a Stock section. It is where a product becomes something you hold a real balance for — its unit, its pack sizes, its category and its reorder level. A service never shows it. See Stocked items.
The Catalogue
All Products lists everything with tabs for All, Product and Service.
Search by name or description, filter by product code or type, sort by date, name or code. Each row shows the product with its code, SKU, both prices, its type and description.
The detail page adds the photo, the barcode, created and updated dates, and an activity log of every change.
A product that has been sold cannot be deleted — Cannot delete product. It is currently in use. Edit it, or stop using it, instead.
Selling Something
Products are attached on a physiotherapy session: open the session, add product lines, and set per line the quantity, price and discount. The session total follows, and payments recorded against the session settle it.
WARNING
Products cannot be attached to an ordinary appointment or to a prescription. If you sell an item at a normal consultation, either record it as an income transaction or handle it through a session.
Products on an Invoice
An invoice that billed anything from the catalogue carries a Products tab beside its details, badged with how many lines it holds. Each row names the product, its code, the description billed, the quantity, the unit price and the line total — and clicking a row opens that product's page, where its stock, its price and its movements are.
The product name is a link on the details tab too. A line typed by hand — a consultation fee, a fee nobody catalogued — has no product to open, so it is not listed on the Products tab and its name is plain text.
TIP
The tab is absent, not empty. An invoice with nothing from the catalogue on it does not show a Products tab at all.
The Sales Report
Reports → Financial Reports → Product & Service Sales Report.
Filter by product, by type (product or service), and by date range. Four figures head the page: Total Sales, Products Revenue, Services Revenue and Total Profit.
Summary mode gives one row per product — quantity sold, total sales, total cost, profit, and its share of the total. Detail mode gives one row per sale: session date and code, patient, quantity, unit price, discount, sales, cost and profit.
Sales are counted as quantity × (price − discount), dated by the session date. Cost comes from the line's own cost price, falling back to the product's.
WARNING
The report reads physiotherapy sessions only. Anything sold outside a session does not appear here.
